Oh I'm patient, especially when it comes to spending $600 to put together a 1/12 then finding out a new chassis is out for another $250 lol

they are all still very competitive. I've seen guys at my local track take an old darkside car and win same with a crc generation 3.2 and thats against all these "inline" cars and the true inline Gen-Xi. You will have no issues.

Both cars were run at the Worlds, fastest lap of the entire event and second place overall was a nearly stock Xi. Both chassis had "decent" drivers piloting them, so I'd say the 'ol Xi is still plenty competitive.

Like I said before, I've been running an inline car but I'm thinking of going back to my old GenX. I was just a lot more consistent with it. So if you want the new car, great. If you don't, don't. You'll be fine either way.

How many Xi's are planning to show up to the IIC? My primary and backup are mostly ready, just a matter of figuring out where to put the 2.5 ounces of needed weight on the inline car.

After mounting a Viper VTX1 in my Xi with as heavy is it is I started thinking about alternate configurations...so I was thinking of maybe putting the ESC behind the battery and centered, move the battery forward, and mount the reciever on the open side next to the servo. Has anyone tried alternate mounting ideas like this?

For our last carpet season with my Xi, I had the ESC and Receiver behind my battery (forward) and a JR3650 servo reversed at the front. Servo shoegoo'd in place. Short wires to the motor made for a very clean wiring job. Basically looked like a mini version of my WGT cars. Try it!
