And most importantly, (or I missed them when I placed my original order) you have the gear sets, and replacement parts in stock.

gsxr0311, there is no website for the Formula Rabbit. You need to email them at: [email protected]

Well, I just emailed 3Racing to inform them that there is an issue with the front suspension arms and kingpins breaking too easily on the FGX. I suggested they either make the arms a bit thicker, or if not, to use a stronger more durable material. I did notice on their website that the list of option parts for the FGX keeps growing, and that they list titantium king pins, which should resolve the king pin issue at least; but not the front arms unfortunately.

I also mentioned the issue with the motor position and limited adjustment which limits gear ratio selection.

I will post here if and when I hear back from them about this. I hope that they will at least do something about those fragile front suspension arms. Not too thrilled with getting a car that breaks parts that easily; especially an F1 car, as their suspension is completely exposed.

Even if they are titanium I am not sure they would help. Titanium is not very strong when it comes to sheering forces. With the way it sounds like the kingpins are breaking titanium would not be a stronger material.

By volume, steel is stronger than titanium. What this means is if you have a part that you cannot make larger, it will be stronger if you make it from steel.

@spring71 Do you have any idea when you guys will have extra rubber tire wheels in stock? Thanks!

Probably just crap steel in them.

The titanium ones are probably a better choice. Not because Titanium is stronger but because the alloy the pins are made of is a better one.

If you want ultimate strength they would.. quite right be made of some hardened steel.

Titanium coating sounds odd. could be titanium carbide or nitride. like they have on drill tips.

and that stuff is very tought. but might be brittle.

First day with FGX today. Went to the local track with both that and my X1.
First impressions? It's very stable on poor... but understeers, a lot. I also noticed the front wheels cocking in the air, a sure fire indication that the box setup is waaaaaay to soft on the rear, and too stiff on the front.
Was running Ride Super-softs all round, still pushed a lot, and with limited tunning parts, could really get much faster. Did break one upper arm (well, I didn't... lent the car to a friend who did!).

Anyway, with the stock car tried, I've also picked up the Rabbit conversion. Literally (as Team Lotus mentioned already) it is just the carbon pieces, so there are a fair few other parts needed. I'm going to do a picture log of the build up once all the parts arrive, but going to go with the 104 front end. I'll do a more indepth view when it's all built up.

(AI, remind me to show you how to take steering out of the 104 front end )
