Good day, Ned. I am using the F104 front end (braces and front wing assembly) and simply inserting it to the RC9394 Carbon Conversion intended for 3Racing FGX. This conversion requires Tamiya's F104 front assembly. I I will update my built here as I progress. I am kind of slow since I just arrive from a short vacay and now filled with work. HTH. Cheers.

Ready for Testing! Ball Diff SAK-F19 in one, Roller Diff SAK-F26 in the other. I tore both diffs down, cleaned and greased with Associated clear diff grease. Should be an interesting day at the track Sunday.

Please do let us know how the roller diff performs compared to the ball diff type. Good luck!

Ditto to what JoseCarlos said. I've been wondering about the performance differences between these two diffs.
Also, I'm not familiar with the "RC9394 Carbon Conversion". Who makes it? Where do you get it?

Good day Scott. I bought the roll diff too (got intrigued) and can't wait to try it myself. I'll try to report here the difference between the two after a test. Cheers.

Both Ball and Roller Diffs work great. The car rotates even better than before.

I honestly didn't find much difference between the roller and the ball. I think the main advantage of the roller is more contact patch on the ring. I think it will have a greater lifespan between rebuilds The roller does slip less than the ball, but a little slip may be desired. I also think the roller will hold up to lower turn motors better. I'm only running 21.5, so I'm not really pushing the load limit.

3Racing: Please release rear aluminum bulkheads that accept the original motor mount.

(or an even smaller Spur gear)

Good day guys!

So I am back here. I just observed that upgrading my plastic rear bulkhead and motor mount to the alum (optional parts), I can't set the main differential to the 'default' position (lowest possible ride). But right after, I set the bearing cover to the opposite position, the gearing contact is smooth and flowing. Any ideas on this? Have a great week ahead. Cheers!
