Still not out. Still waiting. Still buying when it's out.
As far as the debate, I will stay with my F103s and the 200mm standard until someone tells me I can't run it at their track. I have too much invested in spare parts to keep them racing so I'm not going to buy an F104 because it has a body that looks more like the current cars. I just converted one F103 to 21.5 just for fun and to put my favorite body back on the track (the one in my avatar). As far as specification, if everyone is running the same brushless wind or silver can, similar function ESC types and has access to what ever realistic foam or rubber tires are specified and work best for the track, then race. My whole problem with the F104 was that although it looks nice, there are still probably millions of the older cars still out there just waiting to be run. That car is a perfect example of the tail wagging the dog. So in steps a new chassis and I will predict right now, if this car handles better than any other F1, it will become the standard on which we F1 drivers should get behind and support. If that means putting the F103 back on the shelf, it will be best for the class and the hobby in general. If 5 guys at your track buy this car, agree to set them up the same way and agree to show up to race, there will be 15 of them by the end of the season (assuming there are 15 racers at your track).

It comes with a gear diff and I thought that the gear diff was going to be a hopup. I wish they would change that pink to gun metal. Still on planning to get one, maybe two, one for racing and one for the shelf at that low price.

What ball diff do they have planned for this car ? Gear diff with a 2WD and rubber tires is much harder to control ! The hpi f10 did not do well at all against the tamiya ball raced cars . Will they make a (12 ball ) ball diff option for it so it can handle mod motors ????

Woohoo, just ordered it and a set of tires. Do you think I will have it by next weekend on the east coast?
