Sorry, texastc, I wasn't putting you down. I think there were not too many races yesterday, maybe Troy was testing new parts.

That sounds promising! I thought that Mike wasn't planning to do a chassis for the FGX. Wow, three top designers will be offering after markets parts for the FGX. The future really is getting brighter.

Ran my FGX first time today, first sweeper left turn was ok, inner wheel lifting off. Then a 180degree turn after the straight. Kaboooom, traction rolled in to the wall. Tried 5 more times, happened all the time. So whats next? Stiffen up the rear with swaybar? New springs? I read somewhere, does the CRC 1/10 springs fit? Pain in the *** to order F201 springs since it will take me 30 days + to get it here

Here is what we have found successful on med/high bite carpet.

Tires: Shimizu soft ribs front and rear
Front spring: Silver (The lightest in the aftermarket 3racing for the FGX)
Camber: True -.5 to -1 (The stock arms with the -1 block is actually about -3 per side. You need to upgrade your arms to the turnbuckle arms on this thread)
Rear shocks: 80 weight 2 hole with green CRC VCS springs (Springs are a little tight but fit)
Rear anti roll bar: #5
Rear tow: 1 degree block
Rear Camber: -1 to -2 depending on if the rear starts coming around
Gearing: 35 spur with 30 - 32 pinion

The anti roll bar helps a ton with the tire lift and traction rolls. It is still a fine line between having a car with great on/off power steering and having a car that rolls.

Good luck,

Troy

Thanks, made an order on some springs, lets hope it gets way better. It was a lot of fun on the straights! Can't wait for the summer to come and drive it on some proper asphalt

Some pix from practice today!

Not sure if i like the upper deck brace or not, seems to take away too much steering on asphalt, didnt have enough time to swap it out and the timer was not on.
