Default Page 4 will not do

Hey Steve,

Got any good tips for the soon to be released JRX-S? Car looks very interesting, but it seems spring rates, sway bars and and the like will be far different than the current cars out.

I agree, page 4 stinks!

As far as setup tips go, all I can recommend is to get an assortment of springs/sway bars when the car comes out...

Over the last week I have been running 25lb springs in the front w/ a .055" sway bar and 17.5 springs in the back...before that I was running 35 lb in the front with an 0.037 sway bar and 20lbs in the back with a 0.037 sway bar....

I *think* the losi sway bars that are going to come out will be 0.030", 0.040", 0.050", and 0.060"... but I'm not positive

I also recommend buying yourself a set of piston drill bits... being as that we have done alot of experiementation with different dampening and in my opinion it is very important to how the car works.

I think once you get a few of the essential/odd things out of the way the car will not be that difficult to work with... the numbers will just be different... instead of using 15lb - 17lb springs like everyone else you might run stififer... no big deal

Thanks, you guys have it working great so far, so I'm sure it will be quick out of the box. I really like the departure from every other basic design.

Do you find you are using smaller hole pistons, and/or heavier oil with the short arms and stiffer springs? I've seen setups for other cars that range from 30wt to 70wt (same car). I usually run lower weight oil, and it seems to work ok for me in stock.

The sway bar setup had me confused at first when I saw the pictures of the JRX-S. Interesting way of doing it, pretty unique.

I just got a 415 to use for the Tamiya races, so I won't be getting a JRX-S in the first run, but hopefully it won't be long after release.

I have been running relatively lighter (30-40 wt) oil with smaller pistons...with the aforementioned stiffer springs

dstyles: depends on if it is at the wheel or on the chassis...

at the wheel will give you more cambergain which will make the care feel softer in roll generally... generally more consistant side bite

at the chassis it will have the opposite effect: less camber gain...stiffer in roll....more abrupt loss of traction
