I tried to order an Osella a few months ago, but the ordering part of the website was a little quirky. Has anyone successfully ordered one recently?

BEMO2019, I have a Copperhead, a later model than yours, and also one like yours. The stock front end on yours is as shown on the box. The one on your car was an option, called the NFE, new front end. If you don't have a NFE manual I can send you one.

Just doing some research, do any of the older drivers remember Arturo Carbonell winning the WC in Modified in 1982? Anyone remember what radio he used, stick or wheel?

Cheers!

I'm pretty sure he used a Kraft wheel radio to control his Delta. That was a very good radio in its day. I used one at the very end of its time cycle and most if not all of my radio signal problems went away. I wish I had it the whole time!

It could have been the Futaba Brown box wheel.

Dan,
I just looked at my copy of RC Racing News of the 1982 Ifmar Worlds, Art did use a Kraft radio system, in fact , Kraft took out a full page advertisement showing that fact of Art in action on the drivers stand.

What does the "CRC-II" mean on the box?

The body is supposed to be a model of a real Cam-Am car from the '80's that was called the CRC II.

Here's the real car. It's actually a CAC-2, but it's sponsored by CRC, a lubricant company.

I just stumbled on this thread almost by accident. Here are a couple of pictures of a car I bought new about 1985. If I remember right it's an Associated RC12i. Wish I had kept it 100% stock with the resistor speed control. You guys think I would be able to find a stock plate and speed control to restore this? I had the motor that came with it on a workbench for probably 30 years or so. Of course now that I'm looking for it it's not there. Would like to find one of those too with the original plug and such although I could probably find one of those to wire in. Thanks in advance

Art used a Kraft radio which was the same as the KO Propo EX-1.
He never used a Futaba brown box. Before the Kraft he used Delta's own radio.
