Hi I just finished reading this thread and thought it was great.
I'm restoring a few RC12's an "E" an "L" and an "LW" I'd like to keep the original 2 bolt wheels on the "E" and "L" so, where can I get donuts and /or 2 bolt wheels? Also, if anyone has a box(es) of old bits floating around that they don't need and would part with, I'd be interested.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Hi Bill,

eBay will be your best source for the wheels. I see them come up reasonably often.

Cheers,

Well, I bought a few RC12's.
Some 2 bolt some 3 Bolt found reasonable donut and built a tyre lathe using my drill press. I wanted to set up a fast but neat class and what I came up with is this....

See what you think. Standard 540, brushed ESC, 2s2p 18650 cells. Enough grunt, good range, great racing.

Use Armour-All and let it dry out before using.
I'd prefer to wear out my tyres and get new ones often :)

The 4 x 18650 cells weigh a lot less than 4 cell NiMh (about half) and have 8V 4Ah capacity.
I can remove for charging, keep spares and use them in many other objects.
18650 cells are the AA of the next generation. It's what runs a TESLA.
Even at 4C discharge they'll meet the 120W max of a 540 can easily and give good punch.
Given $100 for a used chassis, then a running car for less than $200 is easy and it's cheap to maintain, durable and tuneable.

Thanks Jorge and Bryce

Have you try with traction coumpound for carpet ?
The sun lotion is more for the asphalt .

Hey everyone...If anybody has a Corally G in decent condition floating around out there they would like to sell shoot me a pm. Was my first ever race grade rc car and wouldn't mind have one for a shelf queen. Don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it but would like a decent one with all the pieces there.

Thanks

I have a bunch of Associated 12i, 12L, and 12LW stuff, enough to build some complete cars. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.

Someone remembers or own early HG Special and Sheldon Hobbies 1/12 scale cars?

Anyone ever come across a Kyosho Plazma MK I? I've never even seen one of these, but I know it was produced. I have just about every other version of the car, but I'd love to know more about the original.

I've seen one on ebay a while back. It is similar to the Mk2. The only difference is that it has a different bottom chassis plate and a longer top radio plate and uses a center pivot arm for the steering (ala RC12E). Front axle and rear pod are the same as the MK2.

Parma Euro Panther

In response to Tracey Slatten;

Hi, not sure when you posted, but did you finish the car?

I think it must be a very early one as I only saw the silver rear pods on the late Panthers. I think Bud gave me one, but I only have the black ones now. All the Best

Here's a couple of pics of my Sarik Toj b'shell. I still have the driver figure, because you HAD to have a driver figure on your chassis if you used an open cockpit b'shell, like the Toj.

Here you go:

I will give it a run at Chesterfield this Sunday to compare it to an up to date b'shell.

Cheers,

Chris.

Just picked up a Trinity Reflex 12, with the blue chassis. The T-bar is really low, almost no flex before the edge of it hits the chassis. Was the car designed this way or has a previous owner tried to lower the roll center by trimming the pivot balls?
