Default need advise on setup of hw xerun 120a 1s esc

trying to setup my esc for 1/12th pan car i am new to electric rc so i dont understand how to setup the speed control. most of the guys where i would be racing uses either tekin rs,rs pro or lrp so not getting any real help with setup i downloaded some firmware from hw site to the program box but not sure of what i was downloading. so this is what i got running a revtech 17.5 motor with i revtech 6200mah 70c 1s lipo the gearing i just put in to get the car rolling the stock spur gear for crc xi 72 and a 51 pinion. please help with setup. also how do i know if i have the proper updates in the program box for 17.5 motors.

thanks for any help

It will get you close.

I am not familiar with the RevTech motor, but if you can, dial as much timing out of the motor has you can. Run a race, dont worry about the speed, then temp the motor. Keep adding timing in 5 deg increments, and until it the motor temp is around 140-160F. You will notice the car getting quicker. From there you can play with Roll out. Anywhere from a 80-90mm would be in the ball park.

I use the newest firmware (V3_930_Stock).

What Cherry2Blost youtube videos. (Check message #1 in this forum).

Hate to be an a-hole here, but try doing a search in this thread. Or, start reading it from post #1. It wont take you long to find what you need.

Hi guys

Running an xerun 120a in my Durango short course truck with a tekin pro4 3300kv. When I have the sensor wire connected, the car will only move when I push start it forward. Otherwise it does not respond to throttle input.
If I disconnect the sensor, then it drives normal, but feels like I lose the punch I'm used to.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like either a fault sensor board, or a faulty cable.. What version of the FW are you running? Some motors need to be running the newer 930 firmware.
