That's the best part about this hobby /sport. You can keep hopping up till your hearts content. Racers, builders, tinkerers and collectors. We all fit in those categories. Just remember, men lie and women lie but numbers don't. So when you take the numbers and look at all the geometry and all the results. Eventually you will realize some cars have potential to do more or less but they all have some sort of limitations.

Stay dialed my friends.... Stay dialed.

Justwill thank you for the info. You mention not having to use the losi part 3344. Which associated part do you use instead?

Please note, I have not track tested this yet. I have only taken it out side and did a few figure 8's. It will be another week or so before I can do some race speed testing. But if you want to try it out.

This is all you need

#31360 TC6.1 steering block
#31632 DCV kit
#31370 TC6.1 axel crush tubes
2 5x10x4 ball bearings
2 5x10x3 ball bearings

I chose to use the tc6.2's ball cups because there are better than what come in the TC4 kit and make it easier to do adjustments.

I know Im asking to many questions....

But if the car is faster than your driving skill?...why are you making it faster?

Isnt that just putting you further behind. Why not slow it down so you can drive it better and more consistent. Then make adjustments and upgrades as your lines and flow improve on the track.

I think you are just doodling with trial and error with the TC4. I think it would be better if you did some true testing and legit setup and get back with us. Telling racers to buy this or that, or they need this and that....is hurting more than helping.

buying the aftermarket steering braces is okay, cause its a know weak part of the design unlike the TC3. Trying different things to eliminate the chatter from torque steer with the Losi or with Will idea is great.

But all of it is worthless if you cant make it around the track lap after the lap without hitting boards or other cars.

Just remember the TC3/4 are great cars of a decade ago...but preaching that you need all this extra to run it is pretty far left field.

Lets share some bearing and drive train tricks to help out....

Here is one of mine....every bearing in my TC3/4 is cleaned with Autozone brake cleaner and Novak bearing oil. And before I seat them in the hub or wherever....I sand the seat so they are not in there to tight....oh I oil the seat as well.....

1 more....I sometimes strip the chassis..minus esc motor servo ect...and spray the whole car down with WD40...and let dry for a day in the sun...

hope you all understand that to be competitive doesnt mean spending a ton of money....working with what you got and advancing past the limitations of the car is your goal....Once you have that, then its time to upgrade or looking for a faster chassis to try...

BATTMAN OUT...

So what you are saying is, you are done after these final upgrades. Then it will be all about practice, practice and more practice.

I think once he is done tinkering and just gets to race more he will be just fine. Darkside is right catch up to your car. No need to make it faster if it already to fast for you.

Practice, practice, practice!

On that subject, I'm building a 2nd TC4 car to practice with to turn laps and get my lines and braking points down. With a larger 6000mah battery for more run time, and a 17.5 instead of the usual 21.5s I run, as most people @ practice run a 17.5 and on the straights I was in the way... using a practice body I don't mind getting dinged up. The McAllister HotRodGT. And some real tires instead of the VTA stuff. Should be fun.

I don't want to leave any stones unturned here, even if it costs too much... I think I'll be fine even if I run the steel hinge pins with Novak 17.5t, but I got to be pushing the envelope somehow. Let's hope I can make time to push in the practice department... I hope I was of some help to the tc4 community , even if some still ridicule me ...lol... Cheers....
By the way, Iverson is Broke!!! Practice could not have prevented that...lol....
