Question for you TC4 guys. Last week in my VTA race, I broke a piece of my TC4 and I need help figuring out what replacement piece to buy for it...
Near the rear arm, it is the piece that has the hole, that the inner rear hinge pin goes into. It's not the toe-in piece in the VERY rear, its the hole that the OTHER side of the rear hinge pin goes into. The hole just broke open and the pin (and therefor the whole arm) came out.
I found the plastic repacement part, but was hoping there was an aluminum one... The descriptions of the pieces are too poor to decide.
Is it this?

I think it supposed to be called the "Rear arm, front mount".

GEARING
I'm new to onroad RC. There is a lot to a cars set-up and I want to start with just the basic gearing. I understand FDR. I have the stock 72 spur. I have searched numerous setups. I see some at 100 spur and some at 60. Also what pitch should I go for 48? 64? Not real comfortable with the difference. Any ideas for spur/pinion, pitch, FDR would be great.
**I am running on a carpet track with 13.5 Redline.
Thanks for saving me searching through 600+ pages.

question for ya
hey all.... I broke a rear hub carrier so I changed it with some spares I got when I bought the car... I believe the spares were actually tc3........ anyway did not know this when i changed, so i took it to the track for race day and all of a sudden i ampractically spinning in circles whenever i turned to that one side.... does this sound like something that would happen if I was using 2 different carriers?? or could it be something else??..... next question is am i ok to use tc3 hub carriers on my FT tc4.. yes they fit but will they work?? is there pros and cons to either??
if it matters, running rubber tires, on carpet, stock motor

Yeah, just get a tub car and put an FTTc4 top deck on it. The car will be plenty to drive... the rest depends on the driver and setup.
The only thing i had to do to the tub was clear out the little ribs in the battery tray so the big 5ah 2s LiPo sits flat in the chassis. The LRP X12 motors fit wonderfully. Theyre about 1.5mm shorter, to give you more room for electronics in the bay.

Alot of the older aftermarket kits were designed to be used with foam tires because in the TC4's hay day thats what people were running. Most of that stuff is too stiff for the rubber tire racing today.
