Other ways of reducing weight.....
1) Open up motor mount hold cut out.. 3grams
2) Hole under servo 1gram
3) Hole under each gear box 2~3grams total
4) Open up battery slots in the center 4~5grams
5) Don't do this if you are on really high bite tracks take off 3.5mm of the center back bone 5~6 grams

doing #'s 1/2/4 see to be the best with no ill side effects

Sure do..
Battery Brace mod
1) 11~13 grams for battery bar(14grams for alloy one)
2) posts machined off and screws gone 3~4grams

so total about 14 grams plus or minus a gram

or it's possible to drop about almost 30 grams from this car if you do some of the milling mods

Hey all,

I'm considering on getting the Carbon Component set for the TC4. First off, how much of a necessity is it to the car? Any noticeable differences?

If I do get the Carbon, I would like to mill out a few things on the chassis. Does anyone do that professionally around here?

Thanks,
Paul

Default The molded graphite stiffens up the...

car and reduces weight. The full component set is the way to go. Also stiffens up the arms and shock towers.

I must be so blind. I still can't see any pics of the modification to end the use of the battery strap and switch to taping them down.

All I see are bumper mods and pics about the drive input shafts.

my computer must really suck

There is an attachment to my post on the bottom of that page that is the first picture of the mod. Then go to the next page for the rest. The picture will not display in the thread, you have to click on the attachment to see it.
