I don't recall... how much is the bmi chassis? Also, does it work well on med grip asphalt?

Thanks,
E.

Eric - that chassis is purpose built for carpet if I understand everything correctly...

Where do you race in AZ? SRS I assume...

Default BMI TC4 Chassis

hey guys,i will hopefully be testing it out on asphalt this weekend if i can kick this flu.the car is very stiff.i have had alot of good experiences with my tc3 chassis on asphalt with it being a 3mm chassis and top deck.it was a little more tough to get the car setup but when i got it right it was much faster than when i had it flexing with a 2mm upper deck.i think this tc4 kit is going to be a winner.lets see how carpet testing goes with ray.i will keep you posted on the asphalt testing.

UltraG.

Nope, I'm in Tucson. I race at HTUSA on wednesdays, and an occasional Sat. (if can get all of my honey and dady-do's done in time. Therefore, I don't get up to SRS much.

Lazy-strickly form a grab it and twist it test-its noticeably stiffer than a Graphite TC4-which is how this car started life. And-its only 2.5mm CF top and bottom. Right now Jason and I dot think it even needs 3mm chassis or top deck-though thats surely an option for later. But-like the BMI Xray-its so stiff-its hard to imagine it needing to be any more rigid. And as we know-the thinner the CF (especially the top deck)-the lower the CG will be.

Later,
Its not been on scales yet-but it did tweak out perfect as pictured with all shock collars at the same # of rotations down.

Its not been on the track yet. I was just lamenting on the BMI thread-I have been on the track only two race days since the Champs I think-I cannot recall anymore than that. And i missed most of the races pre-champs too-so basically in last two months-I have hardly driven. I am going NUTS!!! Test day for TC4 is tomorrow night!!

Hmm that would be nice to see if Jason or you Ray would try a 3mm lower with a 2mm upper
just some food for thought

Honestly I ran the kit setup and made few little adjustments... It should be pretty smooth out of the box...
