Sorry they are 20 mm
This is what I use car is very stable on asphalt lots of mid corner and exit steering http://www.reflexracing.net/RSD-20mm...ir_p_1735.html

It is common to use progressive springs on asphalt and mostly linear springs on carpet?
The progressive springs (in comparison to linear springs) raise the CoG while cornering, thus the car bottoms out less but has a tad less corner speed?
In real racecars it is like that IMHO
Maybe scrubbing the chassis along the ground doesn`t hurt performance that much on carpet? And durability of the chassisplate is also less of an issue there?

It sort of depends on what class your running. In general, the slower classes can run with looser belts, where mod uses a tighter belt. You can also alter the way a car feels by running a front belt tight and a rear belt loose and vice versa. You can run a rear belt a little looser than a front belt since its shorter and doesn't whip as much.

Using right tires has always been important. My local track is low traction large asphalt track and I ran in 13.5T stock class with default setup with 2000 diff oil and the car is pretty stable. Some changes are absolutely needed but the car has more than enough flex to compensate the low grips and a little tweak will make the car run fine. I'll update you after this coming Sunday.

Ran my 3.0 for the first time over the weekend. Med/Small outdoor asphalt track, low traction. We blew the track and sprayed with soda to help. In full sun most of the day, outside temps were mid 90's and 80ish% humidity. Car stock with 3k rear diff oil was really good. It wanted to over rotate mid corner, so increased the wheel base by moving the rear arms back 2mm (4mm front shims, 2mm back). This gave me a smidge of push, so laid down the front shocks one hole. I was dragging the left rear of the chassis on the sweeper, so increased ride height to 6mm front, 6.5mm rear and it helped some. Droop is 2mm over ride height in front, 1.5mm over ride height in the rear. Car is amazing to drive, carries tons of corner speed and is very smooth. I will be swapping to old towers and tall shocks to test next time, but car was really good.
This was running mod, 4T D3.5 motor and 0 can timing, LRP SXX V2 TC Spec with light boost (3), no ESC expo (8), and moderate drag brake (4). Geared 26/112 64p. Motor and ESC coming off around 130* after 6 min. Tires were initially Solaris Mediums which had several runs on them already. By the third run they were done, went to a new set of Sorex 36's and they were great. Had grooves in 2 of the tires and one worn spot to the belt after 6 runs though. Running 1.5 front camber, 2 rear.
Car was night and day better then my S411LE though. The additional flex really stuck the car to the track, and the corner speed was noticbly better and the car was more predictable. Very pleased.

As the grip came up over the weekend the car started to develop off power under steer which a rear roll centre adjustment fixed. For me at least the 3.0 is a better car than the 2.0 and responded well to setup changes.

I've recently ran 13.5 boosted on low/medium traction large asphalt track here in the UK. Running Sorex XG-32 Tyres with Yellow Inserts (control tyre). The 3.0 was easier to drive over my 2.0 I wasn't faster with the 3.0 just more consistent because it was an easier car to drive quickly.
