Serpent has only 64DP pinions (as I see it on their website).

Any suggestions as to 48DP pinions?
Or isn't it a big deal and can I use almost any brand?

Are these any good? Do they work on Serpent S411 and spur 48P 72T Serpent part number 120016?
http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalo...tchpinion.html
I mean the Black Aluminium Pro Pinions?

I would want pinion 48P 32/33/34/35/36/41?
Can these be meshed with spur 48P 72T in the S411?

Those should work. Associated 48p work fine and are priced the same, also. I've gone to mid-7's for FDR with an 84t (20's pinions), so although I don't have a 72t to test for you, it should fit fine with 30's pinions.

What specific FDR do you want?

then not much can be done. still look at rollout rather then fdr. it will give you a better picture. here its modified do not regulated at the moment. So I see people using a 63 mm diameter tire then they switch to a 65 and wonder why it started to over heat.

We have Serpent and Zeppin in stock and both end at 40T in 48P.

the closest I can get you to 3.5 is 92/52 or 69/39 with our items.

at the mean time you may look for a 70T spur for 70/40

in the mean time I ll talk to the guy is Serpent let them know about it. 3.5 is a real low ration I think noone ever though of in EU side. in the ETS its run at 4.0 flat.

Default driveshaft tech questions

Just got back from Sweeps race a blue diamond Delaware with the s411.

Is there any other CVD pins that have a flat spot for the set screw from other manufacterers so they dont fall out??

Also, any thoughts or problems with the upgraded serpent front driveshafts (I think they are called DJS?) ?

Thanks

Also, any thoughts or problems with the upgraded serpent front driveshafts (I think they are called DJS?) ?

Thanks
with a dremel make a flat spot on the pin.
do not over tighten the set screw
make sure you clean every part with brake cleaner before assembly.
once you have assembled the drive shafts let the loctite dry then put some sort of non sticky oil to the joints.

once done correctly it never comes loose.

The Serpent DJC is probably one of the best you can buy. I use it in Modified and only broke a pin once. I didnt even break my DJC when I totalled my car in ETS
