Yes I did the same thing so stripped the car and rebuilt it slowly checking everything and that's what I found
I also checked it on the new car I got same thing but no problem with the Team Edition
Trying to find out if any one else has noticed the hole alignment is out on the engine mount and lay shaft
I have converted a TE and also built the Eryx and both bottom decks I had to elongate the holes to take out the tweak
In my Eryx that I rund indoor I have a tweek that I did not find any explanation to. I did not losen the engine mount, but the bulkehed and toe block's
I bought I new chassie to bolt on for the indoor season. But that might not do the trick if I read your post..

I run stock and mod with my 1251mg just fine. Great servo but if your budget allows for futaba all the more power to you.
I wouldnt mind trying an ssr sanwa but 3x the price for 20% at very best better. Also running savox on my nitro car which is definitely more work than electric tc for the servos ha.
Havent niticed a misalignment on the layshaft though i wish the arm mounts were keyed. Very easy for them to twist out of alignment. I follow jilles's video series on building vmthe cars and everything comes out awesome.

I cant be the only person who has noticed this but i had to put a 0.25mm endplay shim on all my axles between the bearings to keep them from compressing together when the wheel nut is applied. anyone else found the wheels to bind when you crank em tight? another small thing to add to the TC design bucket list for me! precision axles.

Tons of shimming on this rebuild though. Beautiful car buy has a lot if tolerance in new parts even. Shimed up everywhere in the front end and still have a good amount of wobble in the steering.
Hope the eryx parts that are harder fit tigter with less tollerance. Always thought the chub pin was too small or the Hole in the hubs too oversized.
Though after ancomplete teardown, she rolls pretty easily on ceramics. Maybe better if the pullies were ptfe/cast nylon for less belt friction. Should be fast.

My son won round 4 of the begium nats wit his s411 eryx in the stock classe. 17.5
His car was superfast and had plenty of grip and easy to drive.
on my mod car I had the same setup but with harder springs. car was also good but I don't have his talent :-D

I never use the plastik tap things, With a bit of sandpaper I thake the edges of the batteryslots and just tape the battery on the chassis.

I use the serpent velco strap. not sure the part number though. those plastic things work alright but you have to modify them to get the most steering throw from the rack i noticed. maybe they fixed on the new car? had to shave 45-60 degrees of material off the block where the swingrack hits it.

"Soft" outdrives on the V3 Diff
I am experienceing that the material in the outdrives does not match the one in the Xray diffs.
I have several hundreds of runs on the Xray diffs that I used in my Serpent prior to Eryx and the V3 without getting the worn into the outdrives. I get that after around 30 runs on the V3 and it starts to eat blades for breakfast. I am now on my 3rd diff. Any thoughts or experience of this "out there"
The V2 diffs with Cleaning Gum that I use in the front, the outdrives lasts forever.
