I'm gonna bug you guys first thing in the morning to see if you've shipped my order or not. I didn't realize I busted my front bumper brace when I met the pole at full speed in 19T, though I should have expected it since my motor shook loose and my ESC came untaped. Anyway, I'd cry little tears of joy to get one by Wednesday, but I know how shipping and all that goes. If you guys haven't shipped an order for someone in Overland Park, Kansas trying to get some washers and hingepins, hold it for a while in the morning and I'll call to update it.

Jamescam,
Just my two cents but I owned the Xray for about a month. After I payed off the second mortgage I had to take out to support the car, I sold it and bought the RDX. Besides coming with more options right out of the box, it's easier to work on and much smoother on the track. I know everyone has their opinion, lucky for me, this thread supports mine.

We don't ship till the afternoon. We probably don't have the order yet as it doesn't poll the website till noon.

Default Monster Ratio

Question for you guy's. What ratio would you recommend to start with on a monster stock motor, spur & pinion combination. I am running foams on a small to medium sized track. Also what diameter for the foams?????
Thanks guys

stegger-rollout is ever changing on foam tires. If on carpet, I would start your tires at 2.35" MAX. Maybe 2.30" even. A Monster on a small track-say 0.90" (~23mm) rollout to start and then gear up or down depending on how your balance of rip off the corners vs. your top end is.

An example of this would be:

((2.30" tires x 3.14 pi) x (28pinion/112spur))/2.0 internal ratio=0.90" rollout

Anyone know where one would go to buy bulk carbide diff balls for the RDX any any car for that matter? I'm talkin 100 at a time-like the cheap chrome ones. Theyve got to be cheaper in large quantities.

What type of diff balls are you guys running in the RDX for mod?

Thanks in advance,
Ray

2 Questions-
What percentage of RDX owners run the car on foams vs. rubber. AND... For those who run rubber, are you as successful as the foam guys? -JB

Ray......... I use the Ceramic ones.

Jaybee....... I have raced it on both. The car was designed for Rubber Tire racing. We had 6 cars in the A-main 19T at the Reedy Race this year. Florida State Series race last month we TQed 2 classes and won all 3.

Of course you can't forget about the double Snowbird wins and then Toso taking the Modified ROAR Nats on foamies. The car seems to be adaptive.
