I've found that no matter what you do if you are running on a dusty asphalt, once the tires get covered with the dust, it's like running on ice. I would definitly stay away from using slicks on a dusty surface. A good threaded tire will work great on a dusty asphault. Just my .02. Good luck!

There are 3 main differences.
1. Shock Towers and Body mounts
2. 44/14 Gearing in the Front and Rear Diffs the GTP2e has 43/13
3. Offset Motor Mount

The Dirt Oval also comes with 15mm offset hubs for turning left all the time.
I hope that helps.

The Gearing on the Late Model is the same as the GTP.
The Late model uses part#31010 Gear, Bevel 44T HD
The GTP uses part# 30120 Gear, Bevel, 44T stock
They both use part# 30130 Pinion, Gearbox, Ultra 14T
The Dirt Oval Late Model also has rear pivot ball suspension.

Would it be better to buy the dirt oval if i am running on asphalt over the gtp2e bc it's a bit cheaper? Also looking for wich one has a higher top end.

no the ofna gtp electric dirt oval is $189.99 and the gtp2e is $234.99 at towerhobbies , i want to buy it there as i am super saver member. Should i go with the dirt oval version and save a few dollars or the gtp2e. Mostly running on asphalt ?

This is the dirt oval http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXZBR8&P=7 and you know what the gtp2e is already...

I would get the dirt oval because you get the rear pivot ball suspension. But now you have short shocks in the rear and a body that can't be use for racing.

What kind of suspension does the gtp2e have in the rear ? and why is the pivot ball better ? Also it has shorter shocks then the gtp2e. Im running it on asphalt so it's prob best i just get the gtp2e ? Watcha think ? body doesnt really matter to me at first as i would prob. get something different down the line.
