I believe TRF417 has an internal ratio of 37T / 19T = 1.9473.

The exact parts are listed in the T3 thread somewhere, basically you need a complete NT1 diff, a Tamiya pulley, and a way of cutting the inside out of the pulley cleanly
It's the exact same conversion just with the tamiya 37t pulley instead of the xray 38, for the tammy you need another 1mm of shims
The cost is higher for the NT1 diff but the quality is much better. Mine hasn't leaked a drop and there is less backlash in the gears. I guess it will also mean you can run a lighter oil, not that I've tried, but that's a failing of the Spec R - anything lighter than 1000wt and it just leaks out

I plan on being there with a 416x and a 417.

Sorry if this has already been answered (I couldn't find it with a search), but are the body posts in the same position as the 416x?

My 417 should arrive in time for me to be gone for a week visiting family!

Are you running foams or rubber? The only thing that concerns me is that foams and carpet really benefits from a stiff chassis (the original trf415 was epic with it's 3mm chassis) the 417 seems to be the opposite judging by it's description.
