Why do you think they are not competitive?? They are tuneable, alot of people race them, they have regional/national class racing, TCS ruling that most clubs worldwide who race mini abides by.
What do you base a competitive car on? How much they cost? How fast they go? Please explain. But firstoff I'ld like to state that I love this lil bugger a lot since I 've been racing them for years. According to tamiya the M-chassis was never designed nor intended for competition. They are designed for fun and bashing around. People even race with lawnmowers and saws, but they weren't intended for that. That's what I meant. Fact remains that due to it's limited tuneability (depend on what's allowed to change off course) and it's low pricing it's easy to setup and to tech. Also the look the works off course. Gas, I hope this clarifies my statement a bit. Have fun racing |

Something interesting that i noticed. Tamiya re-released the Alfa Giulia GTA / Sprint body set recently, just ahead of the M06 Pro release.
For years it was listed as discontinued even though the M04 Alfa was in production. I wonder if the first M06 will have the Alfa body.. either that or Tamiya decided to celebrate Alfas 100 year anniversary with release of this body, along with the 156 body parts set. |
What other bodies can possibly be released for the m06? These would be cool.
This is a Lotus Europa with a wheelbase of 2330mm (230mm). http://www.zercustoms.com/car-show/a...tus-Europa.jpg Porsche Cayman with a wheelbase of 2419mm (241mm). http://www.partstrain.com/images/The...yman-S-010.jpg Audi TT with a wheelbase of 2468mm (246mm) shrink it to fit. http://www.fourtitude.com/news/uploa...ews/09_tts.jpg Porsche 914 with a wheelbase of 2450mm (245mm) shrink to fit. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...sche_914-6.jpg Are there any other European, Asian, American cars? I would love to see the Alfa 8c, but its too long for the m chassis at around 2600mm for the wheelbase. http://jalopnik.com/cars/assets/reso...mpetizione.jpg |
Love 914's:D

There is already a 914-6 body out there by carson, but I am not sure if they still sell them. Here is a link to some pictures. http://www.airbostongraphics.com/914.htm

I think Tamiya should continue with vintage bodies for the M06 RWD, and add fun lil FWD for M05 I'd love to see an Alfa 1750 GTaM with fender bulges.. Along with Lancia Fulvia Lancia Stratos BMW 2002 Tii VW Golf mk.1 VW Scirocco Renault R5 |

Interesting.. Seems like there is a LOT of rear weight bias though. I like my m04 with a little weight up front though, because I like to turn.
That's also a lot of stock rear toe for an onroad car.. |
Hmmmm, can't say that one will be making any huge withdrawals from my bank account....

I don't mind M05's....
But I happily admit I really don't like M04's and this new thing fails to excite me either. |
