Looking from top view of the middle attachment, the battery compartment runs from the rear shock towers to the front steering unit. The picture also shows the battery compartment in a rectangular shape meaning you can use either the stick pack or the lipo hard case. Good bye nicad and nimh.

Does the battery retainer (brace) slide under the steering rod leading from the servo? That looks kind of akward to manuver.

The sealed RX compartment is a good idea for off-road use. Maybe an M-06Ra will be released in the future.
