Thanks again for the setup, the car felt as good as my M05 last night. Really easy to drive.

Just hit them so they learn to get out of the way lol. Damn FWD cars.

What sort of surface are you running on? I use the ball diff in mine.. I have yet to rebuild it.. It's going on 3 years lol.. That's the beauty of a 21.5, doesn't put much wear on the diff

tonybod 02-03-2015 12:37 PM

Running on carpet.

Is it the TA-05 ball diff you run?

Raman 02-03-2015 12:48 PM

Raman,

Are you running 0-rings in top of shocks bladders? if so how many F/R.

Are your springs the long ones or the shorties?

Thanks,

Coop

I've decided to join the m-chassis club! I am awaiting a used M-06 to arrive with some alloy upgrades. I don't think there is any races locally but I have plans to just have fun with it, maybe try to turn it into a little drifter. I have a Tekin RS Pro Spec & 13.5t planned for power. Does anyone know if the colt bodies from rcmart fit the chassis? Specifically the old school pickup here http://www.rcmart.com/colt-m2318-min...?cPath=438_874
Looking forward to owning one of these darts!

Anyone ever mount the rc4wd steel wagon wheels on an m06? I'm wanting to use these with the stock tamiya tires for a blackfoot body m06 build I'm doing.

Sorry coop, only seeing this now. No I don't use the o ring on top of bladders. No one uses those anymore. They create more rebound.

When you can, check out Jiles Grosskamps trf416 build tips on YouTube. I build my shocks the way he does and they come out amazingly consistent

Any body that has a rear trunk will work on M06. Bodies that hatchbacks will not work

I've just dug out my old M06 and would like a ballpark set up for the TRF shocks please. Am I correct in thinking the rear shocks should be longer than 56.5mm?

Which TRF shocks are you running? TC or m chassis?

BILKO1 04-12-2015 03:11 AM

M chassis. I've set the fronts at 56.5mm using an o ring, the rears I took out the o ring so it has some droop. Might struggle to get 5mm ride height on the rear using M chassis springs.

The Pro kit came with 9805504 piston shaft which is slightly longer. You would have to special order it from Banzai in Japan. Otherwise, you can use a TC piston shaft, to give you more ride height.

On my car, I'm actually running the TC damper on the rear, because I have the R spec lower suspension mount, which even lowers / lengthens the mount.. So the M chassis damper was coming up short.

Any idea what length the rear shocks are end to end when built?

Send me a PM later today, that way I'll remember when I get home tonight to measure them for you.

Herc Driver 04-19-2015 11:06 AM

Anybody have an opinion on 1 degree vs 2 degree rear hub carriers?

Also, I've noticed the front graphite shock towers (among other parts) is discontinued...any insight to this?

I missed the boat with the M06 pro...now I'm piecing one together slowly and $$$$.
