48p 29t pinion and 87t spur won't fit, but someone needs to determine the highest and lowest total tooth count for this car , in both 48p and 64p, to have a clue which spur/pinion combo will fit !!!!!!

I currently have the 80 (48P) and I'm able to put on a 22 to a 35 (not 36, not enough gap), so you will need to subtract 1 from the upper limit on the 48P, i do not have 64P to test...
Hope that helps....
Also when you get up to the larger pins you will need to move the the bottom mount slot on and forget about the back mounting slot, on the motor mount. But this should not be a problem... 2 screws seems to work just fine.

According to the chart, the lowest total tooth count seems to be 92t in 48p . So the high is 115t, and the low is 92t ! So with a Robinson 49t spur and 47t pinion you get 2.08fdr !!!!Too low for 17.5 ! The best 48p spur for 17.5t/21.5t/ 25.5t would be Robinson 60t with a gearing range of 32t pinion(3.75fdr) to 47t pinion (2.55fdr) .....

If you only run 13.5 and 17.5 , then you're better off with a 48p 66t spur with a gearing range of 2.80fdr(47t pinion) to 5.07fdr(26t pinion).........

It would be nice if the motor mount had more movement for the motor, mainly back, but I see you will need to take some off the top deck on the outside to slide the motor back...

one question to ask is what is the biggest pinion you have ever bought?
I cannot see very large ones anywhere on the net.

Again, sorry guys , you need to change the spur for each class 17.5t (69t) , 13.5t (72t+), according to the gear chart . Robinson racing website has the new 48p(41t/43t/47t) gears ! About them fitting, that's another issue .......

If you want high gearing, the top deck part that gets in the way of the spur and pinion gear needs to be completely dremeled out !!!!! How that will affect the car, I don't know ......good luck.....

Robinson has even bigger pinions available, but they do not offer a 40T which is 3.5 FDR with a 70T spur and 35T which gets you to a 4.0 FDR (which I have that pinion). Robinson offers a 39T and 41T pinion but not a 40T. Interesting....
Robinson offers a 70T Spur : http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Spur-Gear-70T
