With alot of time testing on asphalt, I found using o-ring under screw head modification provided more traction for the rear of the car when making the changes to the rear of the upper chassis plate. More traction was gained in the front when making the modification to the front of the upper chassis plate. I had best results and feel when I used the o-ring modification under all upper screws (leaving the 2 closest screws to the front bulkhead in stock configuration). Maybe worth a try if your on a low to mid traction asphalt track, hope this is helpfull.

Great idea but you need to first allow the heaviest components that is bolted or strapped to the chassis to float so once you use the o-ring method, the chassis will really flex and twist. The Lipo and servo can affect the handling since the area below it can not flex freely.

For anybody with the RSD lowerd shock conversion how do you like it on asphalt any improvement? from the pictures it looks like there isnt much shock travel left. Thanks

The RSD LCG springs and towers dont really make a huge difference in my opinion. I have tried testing back to back and lap times are the same. The lowered shock tower and the smaller springs make the car feel flat versus the stock setup.



As you see in the picture there is a good 10mm of shock travel. It takes a bit of work to get the most travel with these smaller springs. I had to cut the lower shock cups on the thread side about 2mm and this lowered the lower spring cups. This way i can get more travel and get the most vertical movement from the shaft. I feel there is not enough pack in the shocks since the piston sits so high in the shock chamber, thus the flat feel of the car when using this setup.

I believe the stock setup is the way to go until we can get a true short shock setup from Associated or RSD. Christian did an awesome job with this upgrade, now we just need the shocks to match

Hi guys,

After a bit of setup advice! I'm running 17.5 blinky with the following setup:

The car feels pretty good but I could do with a stronger front end on initial turn in, generally off power but also in some neutral power corners - basically after more corner speed!

I'm thinking of trying the following things, any advice/ guidance you can give would be greatly appreciated

- Increased rear droop - more weight transfer?
- More shims on front link outboard for more camber gain
- Drop rear toe in to 2.5deg
- Stiffer rear anti roll bar
- Removed front arm sweep to gain more entry steering?

I'm just learning with setup so not sure if the above things are logical things to try. Any guidance you can give would be appreciated.

The mount is a direct fit for all TC6.x chassis, no drilling.
Price is $20 shipped in the U.S.

Although I'm no expert, from my experience I would try to raise the rear roll center (0b mounts). Also I think you are running some strange shock positions, I think you should look to other setups for some ideas.

I have not. I pretty much run my car stock except for RSD driveshafts and shock bladders.
