I have no idea what the concept was to make it that way, all I can figure is that they were trying to make a world's 6.1 set up ? It actually got around the track quite decently this way. Factory set up should be amazing then.
Parts ordered to change back to STOCK.
And thank you for your help.

So shock lenght shouldn‘t be the problem.
I expect the spring to be too long. Allready without any clips it is compressed so much ride hight is too high.
Use shorter springs and you should be able to set ride hight.

Great idea. I have a real set on the way but I can use that plan for a back up set. Thanks.

XRAY, SMJ or Asso springs are commonly used I think.
But you have to look for the spring inner diameter, as I don‘t know the shocks diameter you are using.
Also the spring retainers have to fit to the springs ...
Sorry, no big help there.
Mayby someone who knows the shocks can help?

Wondering the same, asphalt set up for VTA available somewhere? I have mine set now to your set up sheet but asphalt usually wants higher spring rates , thinking AE blues all the way around ?
Hopefully no rain this weekend for test laps.
Pardon the noob questions fairly new to dialing in set ups.

Waiting on set of 3 racing shocks in the mail. I'll save these for something else.
Too many options for springs I'm getting lost, LoL

For VTA tires it's an unknown which spring rates are fine. If the tires are hard then stiffer springs for sure.

Regarding springs, the TC6 has lower motion ratios than the norm so you can run stiffer rates than what others are using, for example nowadays most run around 2.6 Xray springs so we could run 2.7 to be around the wheel rate they are using. That is, if the wheel rate they are using is what the tires like. If not then doesn't matter what others are doing.

AE blues all around for a re start on this setup. They were AE red. Kit set up says AE silver but those are on back order.
I'll look up those xray springs for a lb comparison.
My problem is the track is an hour away so I do as much as I can set up wise on bench but.. bench time never equals practice time .

Going by the chart I found they are 17lbs/in which is around 300gr/cm, if the rating is true then you've the same spring rate as I run on my TC6 with hpi silvers which are also 17lbs/in.

According to this site, 310gr/cm is Xrays 3.0 spring rate so you have to chose if you want 3.0(310gr) or 2.8(290gr) xray spring. That's tire dependent as I've said before, soft tire soft suspension and vice versa.

Good to hear my guess was right and thank you so much for the info!

After a complete refresh of the 6.1 all it took was, new shock set, 4 new arms, c blocks, steering arms, rear hubs , matching ball joints and cups all around, plastic sway bar mounts, wheel base shims ( some were missing or wrong), bearings, new diff in back...
Ride height is 5mm , droop is adjustable and after a quick test on just the street all I can say is WOW this thing is a whole new machine and a possible contender now. Thanks guys soooo much for all your help and answers, really really appreciated. This site is full of fantastic people.
Now to order a hardware kit to get rid of the rest of the mismatched screws Lol, it never ends
