This might be a little off topic but is there any recommendations for electronics. I'm broke trying to build this car lol. I got lucky and Ron Schuur is hooking me up with a fresh motor for Blinky. What kinda esc can I get at a decent price that's roar legal and has a program card system. And how about a servo? And last but not least I know battery will hit the pockets but everyone at my track runs roar legal 7000nah 100c. Any suggestions? This is literally my first car build and could use any help. And Johnson I'm starting out with the set up you recommend thanks again.

I hear the savox servos are decent for the money and hobbywing just stock speedo is like 60 bucks ot something like that the battery I run the fantom 6500 I think they are like 80 bucks or something like that but yout probably going to drop a min of 200 electronics including tax and shipping also youll need a good fan thats another 15 bucks ish

I have found that Speed passion ESCs are very good and at a reasonable price.
The GT2.0 and 2.1 models are very reliable and only about $100. you will need to pick up an LCD programmer separately or go with the newer Revention ESCs that come with the programmer. The Gens Ace batteries are a great option for club racing and they have ROAR legal models for less than $40. Stick with a reliable servo as it will take some abuse. I have been running the Savox stuff with great results.

Does anyone know of a place to buy shorter cvas than the kit ones by like a mm -2mm that was my problem my car was binding in the corners shimmed it out 1mm per side and I got rid of that problem and ran my most consistent run yet however the car handled better with the shorter track width

I was going to try a front diff on my TC6.1, does anyone have any idea what diff fluid to run?

Depends strongly on traction and motor power. I would suggest fluid from 300.000 upwards. Another great setup is Hara's diff putty. Try the softer 45 version. Works really nice in corner entry and has nearly no disadvantage in the corner exit.

Just came home from a race of the LRP-HPI-Challenge.
Had the race of my life so far, dominating the 17.5t-class, TQ and winning the first two finals (I was in command for the third too, but wanted to pay back a "race debt" to a friend).

I was the only TC6 driver, racing against a lot of XRay T4'14, some Mi5, Tamiya, Awesomatix, ... The more races I attend, the more I am convinced that right now it is just the driver and the setup that makes the difference. The chassis just have a certain "sweet-spot-area". Here XRay seems to have an advantage. The total opposite seems to be the Awesomatix.

Now that my TC6.1WC performs great, I am curious how the TC6.2 will do in comparison... (in Europe we have to wait at least 2-3 weeks until it arrives :( )
