Are you running boosted or blinky?
This will have a massive effect on gearing. |

May somebody help me on finding the right ratio (as mentioned some posts before).
TC6.1 13,5t engine and carpet track. What spur gear / engine pinion should I take. Thanks Aim for a temp of 170-180 after 6 mins with a fan. D. |

Thanks Find out what other drivers are running at your track and use the right pinion to get close to what they are running. If you intend to race on a regular basis, you will need to purchase a reasonable set of gears to find the right combination for different track conditions and locations. There are too many factors that go into selecting the perfect gear ratio so its always best to have some choices. If you know what the intended FDR (final drive ratio) is, you can usually find the combination to get you there. If you don't have a FDR calculator, there are plenty of resources available. just google it...;) |
Thanks a lot!
That's a good basis now. racer_hh |
New setup posted!

for future, all is fine in this setup but hpi silver and blue says nothing for me. how many LBS for that springs? they are compare to ae something? just my 3groszy ;) |
The pound rating won't matter. Two different springs can both be 15lbs, but if they're wound differently, they'll have a different feel. He ran HPI springs, so that's what's on the setup sheet.

HPI Silver is a 16.2-16.5lb spring. HPI Blue is a 14.4-14.6lb spring.
It's like running RSD Purple and RSD Blue. |
I'm sure it's been asked before, but nothing really came up from my search.
What spare parts are good to have on hand for the TC6.1? |
Knuckles and caster blocks. Maybe some spare suspension mounts in the event of crazy collisions. Also, some spool cups and blades.
Aside from that, the car is pretty tough. |
Thanks, that's not too bad. So arms and rear hubs aren't necessary?
