Apparently the Kimbrough brand spur gears will fit in the TC6? Is a 108 64 pitch too big to fit in the chassis. Looking to gear initially in the 4.0 to 3.8 range. |

That part was designed to be used with 3Racing Damper, which is why it's not giving you the correct ride height with associated shocks. You can cut the ball end the spring base cover rides on, but be sure to cut them all equally.

Im new to carpet racing. Ive been racing 5th scale gas for awhile. Im currently running vintage class at my local track. Does Hpi offer a wheel and tire set already mounted? I have to use HPI wheels in this class.

Rims 3805 through 3814, 3815 through 3822, 3854 through 3860, 33472 and 33473, 33474 and 33475. And I have found no pre-mounts for them. I wish I could, as gluing these tires is not the easiest thing to do. |
Hi guys, i just bought a tc6 and its currently being built. I dont have a local hobby store that stocks parts so i was looking to stock up on commonly damaged/broken parts that give up during an average crash. Can i trouble you guys for a list of parts i should order? many thanks

TC6Newbie - From my latest experience, I would suggest these as essential:
Battery brace Blades C Hubs Steering arms Cups (on the end of each side of the diff/spool) Also might consider spare shock caps, belts, CV axles. The car is pretty durable though. With my latest race day I had a hard impact that yanked the screws out of the battery brace. Those little screws are hard to find and cheap (part no 31540) so you might grab some of those too. Hope that helps. |
Guys - need a quick answer. I accidentally ordered a Factory Team rear ball diff for a TC5 (part no 31182) instead of a ball diff kit for the TC6.1 (part 31336). Any chance it will work? I'm driving a TC6.1 WC kit, and was going to replace the gear diff with a ball in the rear. Thanks for any input.

Trust me, you want to keep that gear diff in there anyway. If anything you would want the ball diff in the front.

Rufus2010 - the combination you are proposing won't fit. I'm running a 64p, 96t spur and a 52t pinion, and I'm just about maxed out. I might be able to squeeze a 53 on there, but not sure. Hope that helps.

Any reason you are swapping out the rear gear diff to a ball diff, I am in the process of building and was surprised it came with a gear diff. Was thinking about the swapping them out but figure I would give it a try first. |
