Does anybody know where you can get other sizes of roll bars for the 6.1? I see the roll bar set #31362 comes with more bars than the kit box did. I have found #31364, but do not know if that comes with just 4 bars (stock kit bars) or 4 pairs.

Any recommendations whether to put a 5th body post on the front or the back of the shock tower?

Yep on the front shock tower is to holes for that.
Also, I mounted up a speed 6. It seems to sit quite low. I put 2mm spacers under the front body posts, bit I think it will still drag. Do you guys just cut higher than the cut line? -Mike |

My local track is putting on a little carpet race later this month and im thinking about picking up a 6.1 to race in the 17.5 boosted rubber tire class. The last time i ran carpet it was with a tc5 on foams. After reading through this thread it seems like it would be a good idea to pick up the reflex bladders and pistons (or losi pistons). I see on Hebert's latest setup he is using yokomo springs but i see that some guys here like the reflex springs too, preference? I am not aware of a specific tire that we shoud use but it looks like the popular one is the sweep qts between the major races. It looks like the Hebert setup would be a good starting point for my track, is there anything that would also be recommended? Thanks in advance!

Generally speaking ... for high grip indoor asphalt, or even high bite carpet, what is the starting point most of you are going with regarding spacing the front and rear arms (track width) ? Specifically what shims are you running between the arms and the inner uprights ? Thanks !
I would say check the setup page on AE's website, there are quite a few setups for indoor asphalt. I'm told the setup from Bob carries over very well to carpet. |
Matt-
The Reflex bladders and Pistons are Great!! i also use the springs too on some set-ups. Get an extra gear diff for the front. Scott |

+ 1 on the reflex bladders, pistons and springs. Best investment you can make.

The nicest thing about the Reflex springs is that (so far) they've always been the same length right out of the pack. No more buying multiple sets of AE springs and mixing/matching to find one good set. |
Hi guys!
I am a pretty experienced Nitro driver but I just entered the Electric class and bought a Team Associated TC6.1 car. I have a question regarding the setup of the car. According to the basic setup you should have 5mm Ride Height and 6mm Droop at the front and 5mm Droop at the rear. If I use these settings with my Sweep 32 tyres (I don't know if different tyres have different diameter in the electric class :) ) then the droop screws almost touch the chassis and there is really small up-travel for the suspension. If I lift the car the droop screws immediately touch the chassis. Is this normal or I am doing something wrong? Thanks a lot! |
