The R5 did not get a new thread with the .1 or lipo conversion.

Was just a thought. Upon further examination it doesn't have as many changes as I thought. Still like it though. Was thinking about buying a TC6...guess I'll wait for the 6.1.

It would be nice if someone from AE would tell what exactly do we need to go from TC6 to TC6.1. Till now I see only some speculations about the part numbers ... I just want to be 100% sure before I order things!

Why is that speculation?! Go to the AE website and look at the parts list. Everything having a TC6.1 in the name is a new part needed to make .1 upgrade.

#31366 TC6.1 CVA KIT
#31362 TC6.1 ANTI ROLL BARS

What parts do this two options include? You don't need everithing or else you'll have things double!

Default Tc6 - Tc6.1

From what i have seen/heard the Tc6.1 is basically a Tc6 with everything carried over from the Tc5 replaced !

So this means it has different axles, Wishbones, C-hubs, steering knuckles, hub carriers, bearings, anti-roll bar system, geardiff and spool.

I personally see this as more of a major revision than a completely new car. Although this is the car that the TC6 should have been from the start !

Hopefully it will be even easier and faster to drive !

Can't wait to get mine now.

Panracer spur gear...exactly the same as the Xenon VSS, just a new mould.
Notice no locating collars either on the bars...

Those are xenon spurs.
Pretty sure the guys were running the old rollbar system due to knowing what effect this has on the car. I'm not sure how much race testing has been done on the new system.

On another note i wonder how much offset the new arm mounts are ?

The new armmounts are offset 2mm. Using the standard mount and the offset mount in the rear will give you 2.5 degrees of toe with no other shims being used

Correct with the addition of the bearings which are smaller...... They want to get people off the 5 year old TC5 parts and make the TC6 stand alone..... Look at what happen with there RC12r5 it had alot of the L4 components then revised the suspension parts and came out with the r5.1.... It's a repeat concept of theirs....

I don't know why so many people are harping about the new 6.1 coming out now that they just bought the TC6. This kit has been out for well over a year and it's due for an update. If you are late getting on board that's your problem. It's just that the TC6 is finally getting the recognition it deserves and now a bunch of wafflers are just now deciding to move to Associated. Most of us have been waiting patiently for these updates and now they are finally here. Embrace the revision and move forward. Don't forget the TC6 is a very competitive as it is and there are plenty of aftermarket parts available to make it even better. Now you have the option of getting improvements from the OEM.
I'm sure that AE will be assembling an upgrade kit in due time with all the needed parts to rev up to the 6.1 at a much better price than buying everything alacarte.
