Just finished building new TC6, first time with an Onroad car. Realy like the quality and fit. Haven't attempted to set Droop yet. Need clairification referencing the mounting location of "arm mount" to "bulkhead". The manual calls for the "b" (upper) positions all around F & R, but looks like the space between the droop screw and chassis is quite a gap. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The droop screws should be touching the chassis. Using he b hole could require the use of longer shock ends. I use the standard open tie d ends on the shocks as well.
Was wondering how to eliminate the ball cup the other day. I hate pulling the ball out of the cups constantly to do maintenance. |
Hello Rick
what cleaning putty do you have in your front diff? |
I Have a dream / Yes AE can
I have a dream of a new TC6.1.
Not big changes, but just some ajustment : 1 ) A steering rack like TC3. Just to have a perfect ackerman. The parts are yet existing, just 4 new holes on the chassis. I hope that AE save the TC3 mold. 2) A narrow top plate. Just to don't limited the flex with the motor bulkhead. 3) Soft bladers. Just to have shocks as perfect that tamiya one. 4) HDJ CVA. Just to don't buy HB ones. 5) titanium hinge pin. In order to use the same supplier bath that the ballstud. 6) Improve the fitting of the arm mont on the bulkead. That All. Because this car is the less expensive and the more durability AE that I used. Just smalls modification in order to help to reduce my lap time. Regards. Fred. PS : More training of the Europeen Team. |

20 racers for your first race this season, not bad, did you use TC6? Nice to see Mark Gililand racing too, he is a very nice guy. Give my regards to Keith and Mark too. I will try that putty. |

Thanks Stephen,

We are getting around 40 odd drivers indoors running 10.5, 17.5 12th scale and Tamiya Mini's for the kids. Very competitive at the minute - making the A this year again is my challenge! You should come visit. |
I'd love too! but not easy to shoot off up North anymore, not like jumping in car and take the M1.
One day maybe, my pal Chris was racing a couple of time with you, but he did not race so far this year, not even IC in St Annes. |
johnny-g and Rick, appreciate yall clearing that up for me.

They have soft bladders out, and soon will have ECS shafts. I am testing a dual-arm steering setup and top-deck cutouts. The softer bladders are very nice --- I drilled a 1mm hole in the plastic cap and it makes zero rebound without a "foamy" feeling very easy to do. For the arms (especially the rear with toe-in) I just sanded near the arm mount where it might rub the bulkhead. This is essential if you run 2-3* toe-in with a narrow track width. I wouldn't mind titanium hinge pins myself :D |
