Would i hate my life if i bought a used TC5 instead of getting a new TC6

i dont know the big differences... i only got to page 18 - lot of chassis flex talk and TC5 parts working on TC6 except the outdrives... and the new shocks with the build on the outside which i love on my v2 offroad shocks...

anything else?

Kevin H: I remember on your TC5 you ran the double jointed front shafts either Losi or HB, are you using them on the TC6? If so, what parts, if not, why?

One man's opinion, the unqualified answer to your question is: Yes. I say that owning two TC5s, one TC6, and having another TC6 on order.

The TC6 in basic form fixes all of the brushless/lipo issues that the TC5 had....and required mods and money. Out of the box the TC6 delivers more than the TC5 can fully modded, with NONE of the previous issues.

That being said, the 5 CAN be competative in VTA or RCGT, but it's got some handicaps when compared to the 6 or other first line chassis (Photon/417/T3-11/etc) in the Touring Car class that make it a less than desirable option.

i do have the pinion on backwards i also feel the x ray spurs are much true with less runout

If you turn the pinion around you have to watch it doesn't hit the batt and set screw isn't rubbing the belt.

Yea, I had to dremmel the inside of the grub screw (make it shorter) so it would not hit the belt. Hey Jeff, did you turn ur steering knuckles up side down?

That's what I'm running, and the Savox works perfectly. Its motor makes some noise, but you can't hear it from the driver's stand! Has stood up to some major abuse, too. Highly recommended.

I heard they are a bit noisy but I guess most digital servo's buzz. Any advantage with the 1257 over the 1251?

Lol this was a funny topic at my track last Saturday. As per the instruction I guess I have them upside down. The ball cup is on the top side of the steering knuckle. It looks better and couldn't find any negative effects on bump steer. Have a month on the car and im amazed on how much the chassis generates traction.

I picked up a savox. The servo horn for futaba doesn't fit on it. It seems like it is too small? Anyone have this problem? I used a diff futaba servo horn and it fit just fine on the savox.
