Just got my nsx ready. I did not paint this one. I bought it pre painted since my raybrig body is still on the slow boat from Japan. This thing weights a whopping 151 grams. Should be strong. I will be the only one running a Tamiya body at my track. The white gravity wheels are not allowed at my track. f

I think the main reason why they won't let you run the USGT Gravity tires from Amain is that they don't want you to mess with the inserts. Personally, I find the cheap foam insert from the pre-glue gravity tires sucks. They crumble after a while with hard and soft spots...but it is what it is.

Recently, I started cleaning my Gravity tires with brake cleaners after every run to get rid of the gunk/stickiness. This is something that I see most drivers do at 360V2, espeically the fast guys. My car does rotate better after cleaning but I’ve also notice that my tires wear much faster. Do you guys observe the same thing or it’s just me. Is there something more gentle then brake cleaners, maybe alcohol or simple green?

So you can use brake cleaner. I have plenty at work. I was wondering since it is so much cheaper than nitro cleaner.

Just remember, that using brake cleaners are hard on you, specially if you ingest it (breathe fumes, absorb through skin etc)

We only have non clorinated. I have been breathing this stuff in for 10 years unfortunately.

If your looking for overall grip, clean your tires after your run with the traction compound you are using, then sauce how you normally would. If you have too much grip and/or traction rolling clean with break cleaner. Break cleaner dries out the tire more and takes away a bit of grip. However if your tires are caked with buildup, break cleaner will get it off a lot easier then traction compound.
