1200 is way to light. That would eliminate a lot of older chassis without Bert mods lol... even tc5 and tc6 stock cars. 1350 would be ideal imo

I wouldnt necessarily think it had to be 1200g bit 1350 is too heavy . very very few guys actually run usgt with older cars and everyone is adding weight
My thinking (opinion) is that usgt needs to be a scale class meaning super car weight status.
So whats the basic weight of a 2015 kit with nice equipment and a 6kmah battery in usgt dressing ?
1250-1300g? Then make that the weight but by thought is no weight needs to be added to most cars ... Andnif someone wants to run a shorty i feel they can get thru tech with a -50g deduction for their stradigy game . make it fun , keep it fun ... Bit make you use your head to be competative ... Pit stops need to be mandatory and it needs to be a detailed Pit stop like in a box and if you miss it or blow thru it ... Do it again next lap ...

There is no need to go that low in weight. Most chassis really only need 20-30g to hit 1380 now. I really only see one type of chassis having to add more weight than that, and I’m sure everyone can take a guess at what chassis that is, or why you (and a few others) would support such a low weight. Hmm 🤔

Yea . the more I think about weight I have just forgot how I handled the xrays . so maybe a super light weight might not work for all ... So how about going 1320-1350 but if a shorry is used subtract 50g (to aid in the voltage fade issues they have ) just bouncing around ideas .

I’m not sure how you only have to add 20-30 g of weight . I have to add 90 grams to get to 1387 . I am testing a little idea of getting the weight low as possible and perfectly weighted left to right

I do agree with 1350 but a year ago I proposed USGT weights be lowered to 1350 so that it would be easier to run the same chassis in touring car and USGT on the same race day and so many people here went batty saying USGT cars should be heavier!

SMH haha

How about changing the motor for 25.5T before worrying about weight.

1380g for now and if/when TC drops to 1320g then worry about changing min weight for USGT. #babysteps lol

Yea but we (amx guys ) cant be considered in the normal weight game ... Our cars are super light without all the added weight ...

When I said I only see one type of chassis needing to add more than 20-30g, this would be that chassis...

Today seems kinda out of left field. Move USGT to 25.5, why? I have a feeling the Can-Am guys are getting a kick out of this.

I had to add over 90grams to get just a touch over the minimum the past weekend. It was my asphalt carbon chassis 7.1 with titanium hardware....but 90 is still a lot.

Actually I think a few of us think its a good move ... A 25.5 usgt trim car is still quite a bit faster than vta . yes its slower than it is now but that actually fixes a few of the issues that usgt are having (unicorn /motor of the month ) (body wars) ( less fade ) more fun . cars are better handeling also

I don't know about all that, but I have to add 35 Gr. just to make TC weight with an Xray. That's with a solid Alum. chassis and an RSX speedo.
