I have been happy with the Corvette body on the grey carpet. It stabilized the chassis I was running where the Cadillac did not. But, you can be fast with either one. Just tune it.

haven't paint my exotek body yet, don't know how to paint tail lights and head lights. maybe I can buy generic decals or something in that nature...anyone have suggestions?

Lets present some dollar numbers so that you better understand the costs of small rc production.
This was our first foray into 1/10 bodies so for us it was taking a risk on spending time and thousands of dollars on a segment that is very very small in the world of RC- on road gt racing. I was not sure how many bodies we would actually sell but I went ahead and set aside the budget for this body simply because I love the class and wanted to add choices to it.

Not knowing how bodies will sell, I just hope I can maybe sell 800pcs over these next few years.

Let's look at the production costs- with the body, shipping, masks and bagging we are making $4.75 for each body we ship to our distributors...... $4.75

And this does not include the actual cost of the design and mold (tool) production which is another $2000. So 800 bodies / $2000 = $2.50 per body. So the true profit per body we might make is $2.25 when we ship a body to the distributor (not even including our employee and operations costs). And if we had hired a designer to make head/tailights and print glossy clear stickers the cost per body would have been an additional $2ea... assuming we are even able to ever sell 800 bodies lol!

Nicholas- you need to realize we are not selling thousands of these, just lucky to sell hundreds... and the additional costs of headlight stickers, for this small business, was the difference between even making the body or not.

I think it's real easy for those deep into racing to loose sight of just how small the on road segment of the hobby has become.

It's not too bad - I'll take some pictures when I get home shortly.

It takes a little longer to paint, but the masks are nice - and I must have had 10 people ask me about it last weekend.

Thoughts on tail light and headlights....I have no experience in this. Windows isn't an issue.

I know some people don't care but I like the scale look.

Takes extra time, but not too hard - how I did it.....

Headlights, put oval masks on only - paint body color and backup color if needed. Pull the oval masks and put the 4 round masks on, paint with black. Pull the round masks and paint with silver. I did the silver very light, it's almost transparent.
Rear taillights, almost the same as the headlights except they don't give you the rounds. I used a hole punch to cut the extra material on the mask sheet to make the 6 rounds.

Not the pro method I'm sure, but it looks OK from 10 feet :)

The p zero is fantastic!!!! Perfect the way it is!!! Great job mike. 1st time out was a tq and win by two laps!!! Love it!!

Don't forget to cut the wing to 10mm all the way around. Right now, you are not USGT legal.

That rear wing looks to be molded plastic (not Lexan) and I believe the rules allow.

"Wing: Any "SCALE" molded wings can be used. Lexan wings 10mm maximum height / side dam height"

It may be molded (mounting posts are, but the wing may still be lexan), but it certainly doesn't look scale. Whatever it is, it doesn't look like the wing that comes with the body according to the PF website.

Thank you , I felt the same about the Cadillac ....I'm going to try the McCallister Mustang . I already have one painted up and never tried it .
