So.. I built the MST TCR. It's 337 grams naked. And it's transmission is exceptionally efficient. But has restrictive available ratios.

But it's got no damping.

I should see what the all up weight is, with a USGT body, and a proper mini servo.

Worst case, it'll be hilarious.

Get rid of the large battery and find a 2cell offroad 3800 shorty ... Move it forward as much as possilbe ... You dont want any weight on the rear tires . keep it all low and to the front as possible to have the best success . its the only chance of making a fwr competitive .

That's "as it was designed to be run". I've been working on a FF03 based USGT car, and.. well.. yes. Those lessons are all correct. :-) I've got a super-shorty 2650mah pack in mine, pushed right up against the steering rack. I've got some shorty servos too. It'll be something to see just how light the car can get. Oh, while we're at it, I picked up some 64 pitch gears, and the right sizes tog et the car down to a 3.5:1 FDR instead of the 5:1 factory ratio...

But first.. I'm going to try the car "as prescribed by the manufacturer".

How dare you show up with a *gasp* real race car, while we're discussing rule breaking edge cases? :-)

... Nice paint job.

Question: Racer who are running the newer motors from Trinty, Fantom, R1 and ect...... By them not being on the ROAR approved list, do it count against them?

Not sure I fully under stand what you are asking. Specifically what are you referring to when yo usay "count against them?"

Are they penalize by points, lap time or it doesn't matter even thou you are competing for points in a race.

Not all races are point races. At least not in my area. They do have points races. Don’t think everyone is checked at club races.

That's a very nice paint job.

My track won't even let me run the white gravity wheels for fear of tampering. The white 6 spoke looks way better for my style of bodies vs the black mesh ones.

That’s sad. So worried about people cheating to not allow wheel options

Yes that was my first day at the track so I paid all my dues for season hand out motor fees, buy their tire sauce and then I found out when it comes qualifying time that they don't allow my white gravity wheels. They made an exception and let me run that qualifier but I had to buy another set of black gravity wheels from them and I was a in mad dash to get those tires prepped.

Couldn't get it right in such a short time and ended with a car that traction rolled bad on the next qualifier and my car got t boned and cracked my friends battery that he loaned me. Ended up costing me an extra $60.

The whites wheels are relegated to practice tires now.
