The only 190mm TC this has a chance of fitting is an Awesomatix because of the lack of shock towers. It is still a bit wide though to look right. Even then, the rear body posts would pose a challenge because of where they come up through the body (right in the "air channels"). We have a plan to address this on the 190 version.

The motor poses no interference problems. Its the shock towers that are the main issue.

It will definitely have the b-pillar wings. Wouldn't be a Ford GT without them

Then at least some of us are ready to try it! And it looks like a real race car!

It will be a pretty simple matter of making a different body mount bracket for the A700 to put the posts where they need to be.

Hmm, Mr EricPF...

Those injection molded wing struts for the Ford GT... Would they fit the Mulsanne? Pull a few more of those?

Fabulous looking body, by the way, I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes on the track (add it to the track application guides?), and quite possibly running it myself!

I'm buying a GT body then worrying about the car to put it on. That thing is awesome.

Hey Eric, after you mentioned the rear body post issue for TC's, it got me to wondering, what if you were to include some unique rear mounts with the body that could attach to where conventional body posts mount but are extended wherever you need to reach a good place on the body(Tamiya minis do something a bit like that, the mounts start at one point & bend where they need to to reach the best place on the body to support it). Maybe us removing the traditional rear posts would create some options to make it work?

Hey Bob,
It's not so much the body posts as it is the shock towers. Test fitting on my TC7, a T4'16 and a TRF419, you simply cant get the rear of the body low enough. The shock towers hit the air channels. The 190 version will have some "design concessions" made in this area to create clearance, as well as being narrowed up to better fit the track width.

Go ahead and make a special 190mm version that fits cars without shock towers please

My Mazda Furai has a similar issue. What we have to do is cut a 3mm groove in the body, over the shock tower, so that the channels slides down the rear shock tower. Barely noticeable, looks good and keeps the scale channels.

Can't wait to try the new GT!
