Spec-R Gear diff review

From what I have seen a putty diff works best when you pack as much in as you can. Mix it with a very small amount of oil so the putty loses that "sticky" feeling.
I don't know how most people go with this diff but I saw quite a few fail at an event this weekend. Medium grip with 4.5t motors in most cases.

Putty is very hard on the diffs that's why i dont pack it to full.packing it right up is not a good thing.I use 500k when a front diff is needed and i like it feels better then putty but that's just my liking.i run 4.5t boosted/turbo and the yokomo diffs hold up good with putty or oil.

fed up with the leaking
OK.... I am pissed now.
No matter how I build the gear diff (follow exactly a-z from video, instructions, etc), I still have the leaking issue.
I have 3 units now. Changed the internal gear to carbon now, change the green gasket paper to v2, the leaking issue still exists.
Now, my last attempt is to use the threebond gasket sealant.
Went to the hardware store just now, there are too many types of threebond gasket sealant. Didn't know which one to get.
Any recommendation on which sealant should I use???
Thanks.

rubber grease on the gasket and the orings stopped my xray gear diff from leaking so I am assuming it should work with the SpecR. Don't be stingy with the grease.

are you filling the diff all the way if you are it should only go slightly below the small gears when you fill it.I have a special grease for o rings i will be selling soon that will eliminate leaky diffs and shocks and is way better than anything used in the past.I have run the diffs with the grease i have for many runs and no leaks at all, and it is formulated for o rings and silicone oils.

Leaking comes mainly from the pulley & it wets the rear belt.
Last option will be the threebond sealant (I guess)

Unfortunately, at my current location, I can only get threebond.
I don't know which one (type) to get.

New spec-r gear diff for TC6 is available at TQ. Click Here
Try use 20k diff oil with 20% fill up will help to prevent leaking.
FYI, Thanks.

Can it be removed and re-applied?
Or is this a "one time" use?
Thx.

Anyone know if the Spec R gears will work in a Xray Gear diff? I've always like the material they use for the gears back since the TC4. Just curious if they will work.
