For those who favor the cornering characteristics of an Ackerman steering system (front wheels turn at different angles to follow different turning radii) over the kit-standard parallel steering geometry (front wheels turn at same angle), Tamiya is offering this option part to convert your machine to your tastes.

Those pics are pointless, because you dont even show the ackerman set installed with the wheels cocked full lock to show the difference in scrub angle.

It's obvious you know nothing about what you're talking about. If the ackerman set provides less ackerman for drifting, how come NOBODY in the drift community uses them? end of discussion.

I hate the Gold Ackerman kit because I can't find a matching gold turnbuckle!
Ackerman gives more angle to inside wheel but the amount of travel will vary depending on many different things, servos, steering arm lengths, tire size, type of front hubs, type of control arms, and etc... Turbolard/Gashuffer! both of you need to end the ackerman debate! It obvious you both have different style in driving and prefer different set ups. I'd leave it at that and just enjoy Rc drifting. IMO i would rather you guys do battle + ackerman vs parallel and the winner win the losers car? lol

There is no debate. Gashuffer's claim that ackerman steering set reduces ackerman is totally untrue. It's not my fault I had to keep repeating myself.

in my opinion drifters use ackerman for the realistc look in RC drifting, if you really look at, ackerman was thought of for high speed turning, we slide with little grip, it just looks sexy, I know a bunch of non-technical drifters that have no idea what ackerman is, yet there set-up is killer on the track, just my two cents, not contradicting anyone here!
