Default RW Racing Idler Gear

Hi Guys,

Many of you requested an update when the RW idler gears have arrived... well, THEY'RE HERE!!!

RW Racing Idler Gear for the TRF201 @ SpeedtechRC.com

Cheers,

(remember, if you choose "economy shipping," we'll manually change the shipping price to $3. Yup, it's a manual process.)

don think it will make it any faster.. probably just a 'better' material??

46mm shafts when using 416 stub axles.

The RW Racing Idler Gear is made of a stronger material. The stock idler gear has a tendency to strip out.

I use 44mm cvd's in my FF03.

I've had my first run with the Pro yesterday; what an awesome car and so fun to drive. I drove the car with a 13.5 V3 SpeedPassion and a sensorless EZrun. Good speed and i only lost to the 4WDs getting out of the corner.

Strangely i had to stop two times with a rattling gearbox; although i used the gear-cover it still managed to collect some little stones.

All and all everybody who did drive the car was very enthousiastic and a lot of people like the FWD TC-idea.

Hey T Rod, that's short for Tamiya Rodzilla,

are the suspension mounts you listed options?

1C for both fronts and 1X + 1D for the rears?

The kit setup gives 2.5* toe in the rear and I have 2* and 3* as another option.

Also, did you just flip the front arms and use the 2 hole for the ball mount?

This kit builds the long version to fit the Civic body wheelbase, any ideas since you guys ran the medium W/B?

The small pebbles are getting in via the pre drilled holes for the heat sink bars. I just used screws and nuts to cover up the holes.

I ran my same exact setup from long (VW Golf) to medium (PorscheCup) handled very similar... just more planted in the highspeed turns and got a lil push i think mostly because of the lower CG, shorter wheelbase and addition of a RearWing..

i think this class should go the way of the Minis... Hatchbacks and CompactSedans and Coupes with little or no RearSpoilers.. Or follow that of the BTCC and the like and the most..

Got it done and ran it, all box stock parts!

Plastic shocks and all.
Threw on some old Sorex somethings and it actually went pretty good in the street.

Time to spend some $ on it now I guess.
Shocks, gears and tires (maybe?).
Tires in the kit feel pretty sticky, could they have actually thrown in some good stuff?
Not sure how to tell what they are, no markings but the Tamiya logo.

Gonna have some fun with this.
