Good car overall, and the price point is slightly lower than others. Just know that tuning parts are hard to come by and parts support is lacking in general... Thus I have moved on...

Not sure if the pin is long enough or is it a tad bit shorter like the Tamiya ones?

Yep, I tried, the problem comes from the pin, effectively, its diameter is too small to fit in the spool...

How many teeth should I get for a pinion on this car with a 17.5T motor on a 40x80' carpet track. As I know from off road it can come down to driving style and other factors, but what would be a good place to start?

Thanks

not sure if this has been tackled here before, but i seem to have a problem with the outer hinge pin rubbing against the wheel on full lock (left or right). anyway this can be remedied other than dropping the EPA?

Thanks!

Mine clears perfectly fine. Maybe try different wheels? Those look really thick.

What spare parts would you guys recommend to keep on hand for the TCX.

arms (front and rear), chub (4 or 2deg depending on how you run). uprights if you're still running the composite ones (might want to upgrade to the alum ones), outer suspension pins and belts.

has anyone try steel 44mm use as front axles?
will it pop out?

still having trouble finding 44mm steel dog bones for my tcx.
i m now using tamiya 46mm but it has too much play in pool out drive

also have anyone try 6mm rear hubs? any choices besides hpi hubs?

i think tamiya's silver colored huibs are 6mm...

can fit a Tamiya TA05 steel outdrive to the spool... need to sand the ends of the spool coupler or dremel a slighlty larger hole on the outdrives for them to fit... then you wouldn't have any problems running the 46mm universals from tamiya/3racing. hths

Are you sure it is not coming from you aluminium knuckle arms? Are you sure that the offset is the same as the original?
