The upper bulkheads on the Cyclone TC are 2mm taller than the older cyclones to make room for some beefing up. The kit came with the lowered shock towers (2mm lower) to maintain the same geometry as the older cyclones. When that upper bulkhead is not used with a "lowered" cyclone TC shock tower, the shock positions are 2mm higher, just like the TCX.

It moves the piston further down int he shock body, putting more shock oil on top of the piston. This makes the shock pack up easier, and usually produces more grip At paved nationals I actually used TC upper bulkheads, and WCE/AME shock towers front and rear. It just gave the car more traction all around.

Thanks for clearing that up. I think I understand ....lol

Hello Korey, unfortunately you can not use the TC shock towers because they have different mounting holes, then the only way to change the height is to replace the upper bulkhead.

Oops, I misunderstood. I thought we were still talking about the Cyclone TC, not the TCX. I guess we are in the TCX thread huh?.... haha

Currently building my TCX!

Disappointed the diff doesn't come with a hole so you can tighten the diff up with out removing the driveshaft. Does the aluminium diff outdrives come with a hole?

Also did anyone else kit come with black coated springs?

Does anyone else run tamiya TRF pistons? I measured the tamiya and hb ones and there 0.04mm of a difference to the diameter, is this ok?

I use TRF pistons a lot. It's slightly different, but its pretty negligible. Happy Racing!

The hole would be useless ... the screw is not inside!
The screw is outside and easily accessible by inserting a small screwdriver or a small hex key through SX outdrive and then tuning the differential turning the DX wheel.

Yes. If you look at the bottom of the spring they are color coded silver or gold

I assume they have the same spring rates as the gold/silver springs from the Cyclone?
