Orlando - I ordered the 0* and 0.5* ones...I put the 0* one mine - and I did that mainly before my spec-r gear diff was rubbing on the rear block and had to dremel a huge chunk of the block out...the split block works perfectly to get around this issue

I had them on my USVTA car at the Slowbirds - and I think i did pretty well with it in VTA

just wish i could find a cheap TCX to have for normal TC racing

ok, dumb question time. What is the degree of the standard HB FR block then (given the degree amounts for the Jet Racing split blocks) ?

here in the UK right now im running a 2.0FF block, and a 2.0FF (but modified to fit in the FR location). This put the wishbones dead level to the bulkheads.

Any idea what blocks I should order to get the same, but using the JR split blocks ?

Cheers

i run my tcx pretty standard except 3 hole 1.1 pistons 3 hole hubs(using extra hole) and tcx lower shock towers. I am trying to get more low speed steering on my car, i always seem to end up running 2 deg rear toe-in at the end of the day otherwise the car is just not fast enough and pushes wide.

my setup for 13.5 open

FRONT
pink front springs
45wt shock oil
camber 1.5deg
0 deg toe
droop 5 measured using associated plastic droop gauge
1.5 FF pivot block
1.5mm spacers FF RR
shock position no 2 from inside

Rear
silver rear springs
40wt shock oil
camber 1.5deg
2 deg rear toe-in
droop 4 measured using associated plasic droop gauge
1.5mm spacers
shock position no 4 from inside
ball diff

sorex 32's

usually racing on medium grip asphalt tracks in UK

What roll bars and roll centre’s you running? I would run softer shock oil, I usually run Much More 400 to 450 in the front and 350-400 in the rear. What tracks are you struggling with?

roll bars are 1.4mm front 1.2mm rear
roll centres are 1.5mm all round

i use fastrax shock oil i don't know how that compares to your much more oil. I race on most tracks in the UK the only place i have had the car how i like it was at stafford's BRCA Clubmans. I guess the setup is mostly for Bedworth as this is my local track

my setup for 13.5 open

FRONT
pink front springs - try silver
45wt shock oil - perhaps try 40wt but id go no lower
camber 1.5deg - shuold be ok, but how is the tyre wearing ? across the face or just the inside half, if only inside half go to 2deg
0 deg toe - 0.5 toe out either side (1mm total overall)
droop 5 measured using associated plastic droop gauge
1.5 FF pivot block I normally run 2.0ff & Fr)
1.5mm spacers FF RR
shock position no 2 from inside - try 3 or even 4, seems wierd but actually induces more turn in due to pressure on the arm)

Rear
silver rear springs
40wt shock oil
camber 1.5deg - try 2.0deg
2 deg rear toe-in - try 2.5 or even 3
droop 4 measured using associated plasic droop gauge
1.5mm spacers (make the car just short of long wheelbase (put the small spacer behind the wishbone at the pivot block and the same on the rear hub)
shock position no 4 from inside
ball diff - Do you have a GearDiff at all ? If so build this with 55wt schumacher oil or a loose GD oil

sorex 32's - what trye prep and additive ?

usually racing on medium grip asphalt tracks in UK
See my changes above mate, give them a try and see which way it goes for you. PS less rear toe actually take rotation away.
