Exclamation gear diff in front.

hi,
Has anyone had trouble with puttting the spec-r gear diff in the front of the car and it hits the block, this only happens when i move the notches in a certain direction.

I had the same problem, a little sanding on the diff belt guides and it spun freely. You could probably notch the block too, but the annodizing was too pretty to grind.

Yeah, i had the same issue...but I was also running 1.5mm spacers under the suspension mounts...I ended up dremeling a chunk out of the rear mount to get the gear to clear - i suppose I could have lowered the suspension block, but I didn't feel like doing the whole car before giving it at least 1 run on the track

I noticed in your signature that you run at T&L. Speak to Orlando, as he knows the options to address the front bones.
  • HB TCX One Way w/DCJ's
  • Side Piece Drive Cups w/Xray ECS's
  • Yokomo Drive Cups w/Steel Bones
  • Hot Bodies Cyclone Drift/Pro 4 Steel Bones

Hi Guys,

just switched to TCX and trying to find spare and option parts for this car,
I must say it is very difficult to find shops that have them in stock.

any suggestion is welcome,

thanks a lot.

Hey Pete
The best option, I've true so far is Yok BD5 spool cups with either top photon bones or BD5 bones and I have been using the photon axle pin holder freakin great.
I should be at the track this weekend, I will get you the parts list.

hey
i am running the spec-r tamiya shafts, they are spring steel.UMMM there really good and i am really happy with them. i think now they haave a set for hot bodies. if your running a solid in the front there are some mods you need to do but if your running a gear diff they should fit nice.im in 13.5 and have done about ten race meets and soo far have had very little wear.defenttly must buy.

Default Parts

Hello,

first of all, sorry for my English.
Will there be in the future better parts support fir this car?
Because now, if you need some parts you have to look in 10 different stores until you find it.
Even simple shims are hard to find. And i don't want to buy shims in 3 different stores and pay 3 times shipping.
I have the car from the release and since then you have to search for parts.
If it stays like this I think to move on to another car.
It is a nice car, butt you need parts to keep it nice.
