Hi Guys,
the Square products are updated online. Also, we got a limited number of the Team Bomber graphite center shaft in stock for the EVO IV as well, some Ride MK I, II and III bodies, and some Tamiya goodies. The Square products are already online, and the Ride, Team Bomber, and Tamiya stuff will be updated shortly. Steve Wang |
Does anyone know how build a front ball diff for this car utilizing parts from other kits like the Pro 4, yokomo, etc...
I've been having a VERY hard time getting parts to put one together. More specific, the diff gear is hard to find. I tried this car on the carpet last week and I wasn't too impressed. The car looks pretty but, with the one way it spins out ALOT. I'm also having a problem with the one way joint slipping in the one way bearing. At this point I'm trying to figure out a "one way" friendly setup that will work on the carpet. In the future I wish Tamiya would come up with more carpet friendly cars. If anyone has any good carpet setups please pm them to me or post them in this fourum. |
The diff is the same as the rear. Just go to SpeedtechRC and build one from parts from there. And what parts he don't have.. just go to R10 and get the rest. Just search up an Evo III diff and some F201 diff parts.

Originally posted by EVOtech ..... or you can use 415s, right colour but 1mm lower. Used to no ill effect. |
Originally posted by Glue-Stick The way I see it is that there will be a choice. Choice of: - Latest Tamiya Belt Drive car, TRF415 - Latest Tamiya Shaft drive car, TRF EvoIV Perhaps they will perform reletively equally (will be known upon E4 release i guess), but some people prefer belt, others shaft. Yeah?? Do you want to know which car made the fastest lap ? Or which car made consistent lap time ? |
415 more consistant over the run, an evo 4 fastest lap time?
|
BTW I need information for the most complete RC store selling tamiya and yokomo cars in Melbourne, Australia ??
Hopefully the shop is not too far from the hotel I will stay, Saville on Russell Street. |
