And the Aluminium front oneway diff gear is nice as well, but not sure if it's necessary.(I haven't run the kit composite/plastic oneway gear. So I don't know how durable it is.
I would run the ali ring gear for mod.

hey guys, got a couple of questions, I"m doing a big order for my Evo 4 for the upcoming state titles. The following is a list of parts I plan on ordering, anything I'm missing or don't think I'll need?

Also, with the different suspension blocks, will the Evo 3 blocks work with the Evo 4? or do I have to purchase new blocks all round. Thanks in advance guys.

I seem to remember someone saying about the best bearings to use in the EVO IV from R10 for free running , can someone remind me what bearings these are and if possiable post a full listing of sizes and amounts needed.

Cheers very much.

Turbonium 09-06-2004 06:59 AM

the 415 blocks change the roll center slightly... different spacing up from the chassis. the EIII blocks are correct, tho...:D

V12 09-06-2004 08:26 AM

the 415 blocks are 1 mm lower than the EVO III/IV blocks

But maybe in 1050 size?
Just talked to Jürgen Horn. He now makes aluminium diffs for the EVO IV also.
And he told me should be possible machining the Square uprights that way a larger bearing should fit.
Hmm sounds good. How long is it until Square is releasing the rear uprights? Don´t want a purple Pro4 upright on my car.

I asked him today if he could make uprights also but he said that´s not possible with the machine he´s using. He needs a different one and this costs major $$$. But machining an existing upright could be worth a try.

The Square knuckles and Uprights will be on sale in Japan on the 11th of September:sneaky: .... on a side note I belive that the 1050 bearing is a bit wider than the 950 bearing:nod: so you might run into some problems there:weird: .?

I think the wide always is different with an other bearing size but you´re right this maybe is one problem more. I have to ask Jürgen what he thinks of this.
But maybe I should try a Pro4 plastic rear upright first. Would be somewhat cheaper.

Sorry there is no website. Jürgen has so much to do he won´t be able for this.
Sometimes I get pictures from him but I have no for the EVO 4. But I think oneways or diffs should be the same for EVO3+4.

Here you can find an older report from the Jürgen oneway for the EVO3. http://www.swebs.dk/articles.html

The prototyp 415 rear diff using Corally blades could be seen at the report from the German Nats.
http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...0&pagenumber=2
you just have to look on page 2 or 3. But the final version is blue anodized.

Here you can see an early version from a 415 front diff. The current one is a little different because of further development.
But you could see in general how his custom parts are looking.
