Re: 415 vs. EVO4 (weight)

Between TC3, Yokomo SD, CGM, R2, 415, EVO3, XRay FOC, guess which one is the lightest? Surprise! it's the XRay! My 415 came in second and my 415 has all Ti screws, wheel axles, and even Ti front universal shaft! |

Originally posted by jeffreylin I doubt EVO4 would be lighter. All things being equal, belt cars should be lighter as the drivetrain is lighter. We did some weight comparison the other day. Re: Re: Re: Re: 415 vs. EVO4 (weight)
Originally posted by jeffreylin I think the Pro4 was weighted too, but not sure. What I remember is that XRay (FOC C-hub) is the lightest and 415 second. The lightest shaft car was the R2. However, these are all customized cars people happen to have and not factory out of the box. What would be even lighter is the XRay FT with lightened bulkheads. Coz I get the impression that the pro4 is one of the lightest cars around, especially when so much weight has to be added to get it to legal weight for racing 1500gms usually. At least that seems to be the case with mine (lightened input shafts and full titanium screws). |
Pro4
I added the steel front cvd's and then had to add 2oz of lead to get mine legal. This was with Futaba 9550 and a Q2.

new retro susp. kit
Does anyone know whats in this kit? I would hope new cvd's, bearings, arms, knuckles, and hubs would be included. How about some titanium turnbuckles. I'm looking to get this for a TB-02. Is anyone taking preorders for the E4 besides Rainbowten. $460.00 is a little steep.
