What is the largest tooth 64P spur gear that will fit in the car? I'm trying to convert it from 48P, and I need some help.

Turbonium 06-26-2005 02:49 PM

on 64p, i usually use between a 89 and 102, i think.... most often a 100, since everyone has those...

jonest 06-29-2005 08:02 AM

normally we run 98 - 102 dp for mod and 90 for stock.

Max is 102.

Hi everyone, I've just built up my car recently and I'm worried of how it behaves? What most of you truly think of it in terms of gears durability, handling and how do you compare it to other cars of its class specially the tb evo 3 SE :) ?

jonest 07-01-2005 09:49 AM

if u compare the car with TB Evo3, the Evo4 is definitely more durable. I noticed that the alu b/head seems to be holding better than the Evo3's plastic b/head. However, u gotta have a good shimming, otherwise, the bevel gear will still strip.

just my opinion.

Hell yeah ! looking forward to it, it will be my first tcs & looking to be right up there in GT1 .Hoping to also be able to run my DJ module susp, But waiting for clarifacation on the ruling. Will see you there .Looking for links to some set-up referances

Besercoe 07-11-2005 06:14 PM

Guru did you get hold of a DJ suspension? I cant find them anywhere

I seriously doubt the DJ will be allowed in the Aussie TCS, as it is a Tamiya USa manufactured product, and thus wont be imported into Australia.
