I just looked, they have them:

0013400153785,TAMIYA,,500yen,53785 TB EVOLUTION 4 ALUMINUM CENTER CUP
0013400153786,TAMIYA,,600yen,53786 TB EVOLUTION 4 ALUMINUM ONE-PIECE FRONT CENTER CUP JOINT

I don't know if the latter is the same 'pattern' as the square one we have in the other car. If it is, then its a bit of a waste of time also doing the l/w front shaft. Does anyone have a picture of it??

Hello

I want to replace this parts on my evo4 suspensions:
-TA51098 (2.6x22mm screw pin) because there's a big slop in the C hub. Maybe there's a manufacturer who makes it without slop?
(it's the same problem for the rear upright).
Let me know if you have a solution.

Thanks

just put a 0.1 mm shim between the wishbone and caster block.

C van der Hagen

I know, but I'm not talking about this trouble, in fact the pin is too thin for the C hub. As if there is a shim, the c hub will move.
The size is said to be 2.6mm, I think it's 2.55mm in fact???
I'm looking for a solution.

thanks

Mine are exactly 2.6 mm and have no play.
Maybe your plastic parts are worn out?

Hugo 10-29-2004 04:51 AM

No all my parts are brand new.
That's why it's a problem!!!
Do you know if the 500 shock oil tamiya is the same as 50 Asso?

TBH i prefered the 3mm hinge pins and the old suspension as i feel it was more precise than the new stuff. Rick

Agreed. Nothing wrong with the old stuff.

Ballsie,

Take the mounting hardware off and just use reinforced strapping tape to secure your batteries. I tried everything possible to get the other mount to work and it's just not worth it. One good hit and your batteries will fly out and your race will be done. Just make sure to file the bottom edge of the tape slots so the tape won't get cut.

A little front to back play in the spur gear isn't too bad. I was going to shim it all out but have run the car that way many times with no adverse reactions. Loose is faster right? :)

Use a slightly bored out (reamed) Yoko MR4 battery bar. They don't move then.
