Just got my BD back and running it in 17.5 open in oval 1s. I'm running a revtech motor. Anyone know where to set timming and amp draw with this. I have tried low timming with bigger pinions and high timming with lower pinion and seems to always be fast up front but seems to fade about 2.5 min into the run on a 5 min run.
Best run was with timming on motor at 0 with 50 in speedo. 17.5 amps
Any ideas?

I got mine back with the update a few days ago. Now the personality is a little bit different than before..previous gearing sweet spot is different (shorter). Power is nothing short of incredible. Brakes are lovely. Will take a little while to get this right, but the laptimes do not lie.

I sold off my Tekin, 4xGM, ORCA, etc....The cheapest and the most expensive, my favourites, by far, are the Hobbywing and BD. Go figure

Dougie, I thought you wanted to get the Tekin working with the Corally?

While it is slightly faster I'm still having trouble getting it to keep up with the Tekin's etc.
I still love the smooth feeling of it but just ned to find a way of getting that bit extra without melting anything.

Interesting,

First impressions are that I seem to have more power (easily) than the Tekin, but at the bottom and mid, but not tried on a long straight. TBH I forgot about the Tekin, its the Hobbywing I'm comparing to. Need a day testing to really get to grips and find the sweet spot. Had some useful pointers from Mike at Modeltech but its always better to find your own way..Chatham will be open on Saturday, seems an ideal place.

Hey guys im running my black diamond with a corally pro red 17.5 ...now i know you guys run this motor here so i figured i would ask ...ny corallly motor is kinda grinding at startup and after i let off the throttle and rite before it stops it makes a grinding noise...is this normal for the corally ?...and i know its the motor because i swapped motors and it didnt make that sound at all.

Thanks
